Nina’s Marathon, September 2013

On 29 September 2013 Nina took part in the Lochness Marathon. Her training schedule had been slightly hampered by a knee injury, but Nina was determined to rise to the challenge and aimed to raise £1200, which is enough to educate 12 pupils at Roseberry School for a year.

All Nina’s dedicated training paid off. Despite having a problem with her knee, she completed her first ever marathon in a very credible time and she said that she had enjoyed the experience. Nina had hoped to raise £1200 for School Aid India and she smashed that figure out the park. Nina’s has received messages from Rachana at Roseberry School in Darjeeling, who is absolutely delighted with her success. Rachana is going to tell all the children about Nina’s marathon. Congratulations Nina on your achievement.
